Radha Damodar Mandir GaushalaGaushala means Gauseva where we serve the cows. Indian Hindu Religious holy Book Srimad Bhagavatam describes how Lord Krishna cared for the cows and calves every morning. He used to take them to graze on the Govardhana Hills. In his childhood, Lord Krishna was a gowal(cowherd boy). He loved cows and would take them for grazing to the jungles everyday. In the evenings, the sound of his flute was enough indication to the cows that it was time to go back home and they would all come rushing back to him. Such was the eternal loving bond that Lord Krishna shared with the cows! What better way then, to worship Lord Radha Damodar Ji than to visit the Gaushala of Radha Damodar Temple. Incomplete without visit here. It is as important as the Mandir.

We all should follow to Krishna and serve the cows with similar attitude - by providing means for their food, shelter and medication. Cows in India are not just animals, but are revered as one of the icons of the country’s culture.

The cow is considered as a sacred animal in Hindu religion. Keeping this concept in mind,  Gaushala maintains in the premises of Sri Sri Radha Damodar Temple. The donation money is utilized for the maintenance of the Gaushala and the sacred cows.
